The Greater Connecticut Conducting Workshop is designed to give conductors an opportunity to work on their skills in front of a professional orchestra, in a supportive and constructive environment. In addition to studying major works found on many degree program audition lists, students will have an opportunity to work on concerto conducting as well, making this program unique in its scope.
There will be two sessions each day: String quintet sessions in the morning and full orchestra in the afternoon. Students will receive approximately 120 minutes of podium time.
If you are not selected as one of the participants you may be selected as an auditor. You may apply to simply audit the course as well.
A few students will be selected, over the course of the program, to conduct on the final concert at the close of the workshop.

Applications will not be considered complete until your $50 dollar application fee is received. Fee applies to both participants and auditors. Payments may be made by check, or money order, made payable to the American Chamber Orchestra.
The Greater Connecticut Conducting Workshop reserves the right to cancel the workshop at any time for any reason. Application fees are non-refundable. In the event of a cancellation any tuition fees paid, will be refunded.
